The PatchMaker holds your fabric in place while you weave thread back and forth to create a strong, knitted patch. Simply stretch the fabric over the disc and start weaving with the help of the 16 hooks at the top. By going over and under each vertical thread, you create an interlocking structure that holds the patch securely in place.

Yes, patches are machine washable and made to last. Once secured, the patch is strong enough for regular wear and normal washing. No special care is required.

I really like the KnitPatch kit! It took me a little time to figure out the different stitch styles and watch the tutorials, but once I got the hang of it, it was really fun and easy to use. It’s a great little creative project for when you’re on the go or just want to patch up some old clothes, especially if you enjoy making things by hand. Thank you, KnitPatch, for allowing me to try this kit as a complimentary product! I really enjoyed the experience and had so much fun creating with it. 💕
We got the extension kit as well. I knew I had a big mending job. I chose to use an old mohair yarn to begin with, and quickly learned what not to do. I found that using the tip of the needle to thread through the weft was a bad idea as i was at times sewing through the warp. I then used the eye end of the needle, and then used the flat blunt end of the latch hook tool to quickly weave through before throwing through the threaded needle (eye end first). Then the task went quickly. The first two patches took me over an hour, but the second patch was very long. I'm looking forward to experimenting more with this.
Bottom patch was my first so not very neat. Much improved by the second patch. Very happy with the results!
Getting better at doing it but it is definitely a learning process. As a lefty I do things backwards and out of the norm so I have just been practicing and figuring out what works for me. I do enjoy it more than I anticipated and I had high hopes when I ordered it! Thank you for creating my this kit!

I have enjoy using small-loom weaving so much that I upgraded to Knit Patch. Unfortunately, my kit did not include the threads that should have been part of the kit.

Fun and easy to use. I wish the hooks were a little closer together, but that's just personal preference (I want to be able to make less thick patches with thinner yarn/thread); the tool works perfectly well. I've done a couple practice patches, but not yet actually used it for mending a garment. I’ve noticed a little warping of the fabric (the patch pulling on it), and it’s hard to keep the right and left edges of the patch straight. That might just be something get better with practice, though. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase, and my new little hobby!

I tried it yesterday and honestly got kinda hooked 😅 At first I was confused how it works, but after a few tries it actually became really fun. Super satisfying once you start seeing the patch come together.
I haven’t tried it much yet, but it looks really well made. The spring holds everything together very securely and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall apart like the other loom I bought on Amazon. I’m really happy with it so far.
This is my third try. the first one was awful, but it’s actually starting to grow on me. I tried doing this twocolor way, and I think it turned out pretty nice. I’m excited to try some patterns in the future!
Very clever idea. It reminds me of what my grandmother used to use, but much simpler. These are the results from two weeks of daily practice. I’m pretty happy with it.

I don't really understand the patterns- how to read them- and sometimes the scan QR code won't lead to a site, but says there is no site available. The actual loom is great. I would like a bigger one in future for larger work, but it is fabulous and enjoyable.
It was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. I was able to make a great patch on a wool sock. It seems like it would be pretty great for patching sweaters and maybe denim. I tried to patch a tee shirt with a small hole but it did not go well. It will be useful for sweaters and jeans though.

It takes a bit of practice but I'm figuring it out and have done a bunch of patches, they look great and have made worn out looking items look fun. Meant for big spots --- This tool is meant for adept seamstresses, not for people who are just trying it out. Even if you can adapt quickly, the patchwork requires very fine attention to detail.

The patch kit is easy to use and works great! I've used it to patch a pair of pants and add embroidery to another pair of pants so far, and I've really enjoyed it. There is a bit of a learning curve—I found that my previous weaving experience made it a lot easier to do.

I bought three of these for three friends whose birthdays are days apart. All of them are super thrilled about the kits and had even been eyeing them.
Perhaps its me. I am a knitter and a weaver; I having a hard time making this tiny loom work. I probably just need to keep trying. But, I would suggest using a non-divisible embroidery thread.
