When I first began mending, I was looking for more than a fix. I was looking for a way to connect with my clothes and with myself. The process felt calming, even meditative, but the tools I had made it harder than it needed to be.

That’s when I decided to create the PatchMaker. I wanted to take something that could feel intimidating and make it simple, satisfying, and even joyful. Whether it’s repairing a tear or adding a creative touch, I believe mending should always feel empowering.

KnitPatch started as a personal idea, but it has grown into something bigger: a way for people everywhere to rediscover the value in what they already own. Each patch is a small act of creativity and a small step toward less waste.
