    What's included in the kit

The kit includes our PatchMaker 3.0, made of stainless steel and beech hardwood, a metal spring, 3 spools of cotton thread, a latch hook, a sharp needle and printed instructions with 15 pattern designs and access to 10 video tutorials.

    Patch size

You can create patches up to 2 × 2 inches (5.2 × 5.2 cm) when using all 16 top hooks. Using fewer hooks allows you to make smaller patches as needed.

It works on a wide variety of fabrics. For beginners, we recommend starting with slightly thicker, softer materials such as knitwear, as they are easier to work with and provide better control.

Repairing Clothes Has Never Been Easier

PatchMaker turns visible mending into a simple, step-by-step process that anyone can learn, no sewing experience required.

    FAQ

The PatchMaker holds your fabric in place while you weave thread back and forth to create a strong, knitted patch. Simply stretch the fabric over the disc and start weaving with the help of the 16 hooks at the top. By going over and under each vertical thread, you create an interlocking structure that holds the patch securely in place.

Yes, patches are machine washable and made to last. Once secured, the patch is strong enough for regular wear and normal washing. No special care is required.

It depends on the size and pattern selected. On average, one patch takes approximately 15–30 minutes to complete.

Most threads and yarns will work well. For best results, we recommend using slightly thicker thread or yarn, as it fills the area more evenly and creates a stronger, cleaner finish.

There is a small learning curve at first, but with the help of the detailed instructions and the included video tutorials, most users find it easy to learn and get comfortable quickly.

    Patch inside view

The patch is created on the surface of the fabric and is secured along the edges. On the inside, you'll see a small rectangular outline where the patch is attached.

On the last page of the instruction booklet, you'll find a QR code. Scan it with your phone or type the link into your browser to access the video tutorials.

Not bad for my First attempt with the Knit Patch repairing my son's beloved Spiderman socks 😊

Fun and easy to use. I wish the hooks were a little closer together, but that's just personal preference (I want to be able to make less thick patches with thinner yarn/thread); the tool works perfectly well. I've done a couple practice patches, but not yet actually used it for mending a garment. I’ve noticed a little warping of the fabric (the patch pulling on it), and it’s hard to keep the right and left edges of the patch straight. That might just be something get better with practice, though. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase, and my new little hobby!

I tried it yesterday and honestly got kinda hooked 😅 At first I was confused how it works, but after a few tries it actually became really fun. Super satisfying once you start seeing the patch come together.

I haven’t tried it much yet, but it looks really well made. The spring holds everything together very securely and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall apart like the other loom I bought on Amazon. I’m really happy with it so far.

This is my third try. the first one was awful, but it’s actually starting to grow on me. I tried doing this twocolor way, and I think it turned out pretty nice. I’m excited to try some patterns in the future!

Very clever idea. It reminds me of what my grandmother used to use, but much simpler. These are the results from two weeks of daily practice. I’m pretty happy with it.

Definitely takes practice to get it right, but I am hopeful that I can create a beautiful patch eventually! Fun to use and the online video definitely helped with the process.

    PatchMaker 3.0 Kit

I have just barely used it, it seems easy enough. Are there instructional videos avialble?

Store owner replied: Yes! We have video tutorials available. On the back of the Guidebook, you’ll find a QR code—just scan it with your phone, and it will take you directly to all of our tutorials.

    PatchMaker 3.0 Kit

    It's a fun hobby. The add-ons are over-priced.

    PatchMaker 3.0 Kit

I'm still getting the hang of using the Knitpatch, but am enjoying the process. I wish there were needles of different thicknesses available to use as many of my lighter weight fabrics don't work as well with such a heavyweight needle, but the shorter, standard needles don't work as well. I look forward to mastering the techniques and adding patches to both garments and houseware fabrics in the future for both mending and decoration. Very glad I ordered this.

    PatchMaker 3.0 Kit

I have tried to use it several times and cannot get past the starting point. I can't get the base lacing set up. First the thread keeps sliding off the hooks on the top, then I have trouble seeing where I need to be stitching and last, I have yet to get to the second stage where I am placing the cross stitching. I am not quitting! But I am a farmer and have very few daylight hours. So, I take a few moments in the evenings to try again. I need a clear lesson on how to do this. Sorry. I think I am going to like this but not so much right now. More frustrated than in love

    PatchMaker 3.0 Kit

Store owner replied: Have you had a chance to watch our video tutorials? They go through the setup and stitching process much more slowly and in more detail than the printed instructions

I’ve never knitted or weaved before. It was really easy to learn and fun to do. Have been making holes in my clothes just so I can use this crazy thing. 10/10

    PatchMaker 3.0 Kit

I’ve got at Amazon but knit patch is much better specially because of the shape and quality.
